Asking pricing questions to customers (a no is not an insight!)

How do you ask customers the right pricing questions?

In short

The more sophisticated your product gets, the more dangerous it is to misread a “No”.

“No” can mean “I don’t have time”, “I don’t have the budget”, or “I only need half of these features”.

Same answer.

Different problems.

A/B testing has its limits…

At some point you just need to sit down with clients and actually talk to them. Or have a real, battle-tested quantitative survey that asks:

  • the right questions,
  • the right way,
  • in the right order!

The more sophisticated your solution gets, the more critical it becomes to understand your customers, their needs, constraints, and purchasing power.

And the more sophisticated your product gets, the more dangerous it is to misread a “No”.

Asking the right pricing questions is completely changing the game.
